We publish spec-based, research-driven reviews and buying guides across 20+ product categories — from air conditioners and refrigerators to gaming laptops and kitchen appliances. No fluff, no paid rankings, just honest recommendations backed by data.
Who's Behind This
ProductHunter.in is founded and run by Naveen Bhavnani, a tech enthusiast based in Jaipur, Rajasthan. What started as a personal habit of obsessively researching every purchase turned into this site — a place where that research is done for you, transparently and thoroughly.
How We Pick and Score Products
Every product on ProductHunter.in goes through a structured evaluation process:
- Real specs, not marketing claims. We pull technical specifications from manufacturer datasheets and the Amazon Product Advertising API — the same data Amazon uses on its own product pages.
- Thousands of user reviews analysed. We read through verified buyer reviews on Amazon.in to identify real-world patterns — what breaks, what lasts, what people actually love or hate about a product.
- India-specific considerations. Voltage fluctuations, monsoon humidity, summer heat, electricity costs at Indian tariff rates, after-sales service availability — factors that global review sites ignore but matter here.
- Weighted scoring. Each product category has its own scoring criteria with weighted dimensions (e.g., cooling performance, energy efficiency, noise, build quality). The weights reflect what actually matters for Indian buyers, not arbitrary benchmarks.
Our scores and rankings are editorial decisions. No brand can pay to influence them.
Our Data Sources
Product data on this site — including prices, images, ratings, and availability — is sourced from the Amazon.in Product Advertising API and updated regularly. Specifications are cross-referenced with manufacturer websites. Energy ratings follow the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) star rating system where applicable.
